Career Development & Placements
Career Development Centre
The Career Development Centre (CDC) at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology is established with the objective of guiding students for their career aspirations in industry placements, higher studies, Civil Services, defence services, and entrepreneurship. Building on this foundation, I am delighted to present the annual progress report of the Career Development Centre (CDC) for the academic session 2024-25, highlighting the significant progress we have made. The CDC has made significant strides in strengthening student employability and fostering industry engagement across all levels. Some of the key initiatives implemented by the CDC include:
- Career Guidance Programs
- Aptitude Training and Soft Skills Development
- Company-Specific Technical Training Bootcamps
- Programming & Coding Assessments
- Employability Assessments
These interventions were designed to align students with industry expectations and improve their placement readiness. We are pleased to report that CDC has achieved very good industry placements this year, with an increased number of recruiting companies and improved student selection ratios. This reflects the effectiveness of our focused training programs and industry collaborations. CDC has also facilitated industrial internships in reputed national and international companies, providing students with practical exposure and professional growth. To promote continuous learning and networking, CDC organized expert sessions by industry leaders for both students and faculty members. These sessions helped bridge the gap between academics and industry practices.
In addition, CDC coordinated exclusive meetings between industry experts and the college management, paving the way for deeper partnerships, future collaborations, and curriculum enrichment. Beyond placements, the CDC actively guided students in exploring various career paths, including:
- Higher education (national and international)
- Government and defence sector careers
- Entrepreneurship
- Foreign language training for global opportunities
I place on record my special thanks to the CDC Steering Committee Members Prof. R. B. Gowardhan, Institute Mentor, for his constant guidance and mentoring, Fr. Siju Jose, Financial Administrator, for his invaluable support and resource facilitation I also extend heartfelt gratitude to our Hon. Director Dr. Fr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Principal Dr. Vijay Wadhai , CDC team members, Department heads, CDC faculty coordinators, CDC student coordinators, and alumni network for their continued collaboration Going forward, CDC remains committed to excellence, innovation, and nurturing the professional journey of our students with strong industry-academia synergy.
