The functions, roles and responsibilities of Anti-ragging committee:
- The anti ragging committee in letter and spirit shall ensure that the incidence of ragging does not take place in the campus.
- The committee shall take a serious cognizance of in-campus and off-campus incidences of ragging.
- The committee in case of ragging incidence shall conduct a constitutional hearing in which both the victim and guilty shall be given equal hearing opportunity.
- The committee shall prepare its details hearing report and submit it to an apex institute AICTE.
- The committee shall lodge a complaint against guilty with the police if so warranted.
- The committee shall constitute an anti ragging squad who will take rounds in the campus and outside to prevent ragging.
- The committee shall take all deterrent measures to ensure ragging free campus.
- The committee shall ensure that every learner has all democratic, justifiable and deterring to the ragging menace.
- The Anti-ragging committee and Anti Ragging Squad consisting of above members is constituted for SVPCET.
Role and functions of Anti Ragging Squad:
- The above members of anti ragging squad shall remain vigilant and in touch with the learners so that the learners do no harbor any fear in their minds about ragging.
- The anti ragging squad shall ensure that the learners of freshmen year are confident enough that they are pursuing their education in campus which is absolutely ragging free.
- Every student in the college has full liberty to talk, discuss and lodge a complaint regarding any inconvenience to him/her.
