The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems organized an industrial visit to the Lokmat Press facility in Butibori, Nagpur, on September 20, 2025. The visit was conducted from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with participation from 110 second- and third-year students.

The objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to large-scale automated printing technology and business logistics in media production. The visit was guided by the Senior Plant Manager and the Technical Operations Head at Lokmat Press.

Key areas covered included the newspaper production workflow, high-speed offset printing, computer-to-plate (CTP) technology, automated sorting and distribution systems, and the use of digital information systems for real-time monitoring and quality control. The event was organized by the CSBS student committee under the guidance of the Head of the Department.

The visit proved highly beneficial, enabling students to understand the integration of technology and business management and relate academic concepts to real-world industrial operations in a major media organization.
