Ride Wise, Stay Safe” Road Safety Bootcamp

The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, in collaboration with TRIGUNA, AAVAS Financiers Ltd, and the IGNITE Club, organized the “Ride Wise, Stay Safe” Road Safety Bootcamp on October 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the 2nd Floor Auditorium, B-Block. The event was attended by 300 female students.

The bootcamp aimed to promote civic awareness and responsible mobility by fostering alertness and self-protection on Indian roads. Resource persons included Fr. Dr. Paul Chandrankunnel, Director of the Institution, Dr. Vijay Wadhai, Principal of SVPCET, and Mr. Atul from the Nagpur Police Department. Sessions covered global and national road safety concerns, traffic regulation evolution, driving license procedures, and practical demonstrations on pedestrian, cyclist, and driver safety.

Coordinated by Prof. Pradyna Moon, Prof. Renuka Raut, and Mr. Joe Francis, the event concluded with students taking a formal oath to uphold traffic laws and receiving ISI-certified helmets as a symbol of their commitment. The initiative successfully empowered young women to embrace road safety with vigilance and responsibility.
