One-Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "LEAN AND GREEN MANUFACTURING MANAGEMENT"

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, SVPCET, successfully organized a one-week  Faculty Development Program on “Lean and Green Manufacturing Management” in association with the MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Government of India, Nagpur, held from 22nd to 26th September 2025. The program was attended by 25 participants from various departments, including Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Civil, and Electrical Engineering.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Gaurav Bahare, Head – Production & WCM, Grindwell Norton, Nagpur, who served as the Chief Guest, along with the esteemed presence of Mr. Vivak Nikhade, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Nagpur.

            The FDP featured distinguished speakers from industry and academia, who shared their expertise on contemporary topics in lean and sustainable manufacturing. Mr. Sunil Kumbalpuri, AGM, Solar Industries, Nagpur, delivered an insightful session on Green Energy. Mr. Amol Pusadkar from Prodeskon Consulting Private Limited, Nagpur, conducted a session on Lean Manufacturing practices and implementation tools. Mr. Gaurav Bahare, Grindwell Norton, Nagpur, presented expert lectures on Green and Clean Energy. Dr. Minhaj Ahmad and Dr. Manish Bhadke contributed academic depth through case studies on Lean and Green Manufacturing, providing practical insights into real-world applications.

The valedictory session, held on 26th September 2025, was presided over by Mr. Vivak Nikhade, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, Nagpur, Government of India, as the Chief Guest.

The successful conduct of the program was made possible under the able guidance of Fr. Paul Chandrakunnel, Director, SVPCET; Fr. Siju Jose, Financial Administrator, SVPCET; Dr. Vijay Wadhai, Principal, SVPCET; and Dr. Sushant Satputaley, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The five-day FDP was efficiently coordinated  by Dr. Minhaj Ahmad , Dr. Manish Bhadke and Prof.Shantanu  Kolharkar

This program provided valuable insights into Lean and Green Manufacturing practices, fostering sustainable thinking and professional growth among participating faculty members.
