Parent–Teacher Interaction for B. Tech First-Year Students

The Department of Engineering, Sciences & Humanities organized a Parent–Teacher Interaction on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event was held on the 3rd Floor, Academic Block B, providing a formal yet welcoming setting for parents to engage with faculty members regarding their ward’s academic progress.

The session facilitated meaningful one-on-one discussions between parents and Class Counsellors as well as Subject Teachers. The primary focus of the interaction was to update parents about their ward’s attendance and academic performance in internal assessments. Parents actively participated, seeking constructive insights into their child’s strengths and areas requiring improvement. Special guidance was offered to students with three or more subject backlogs in the Mid-Semester Exam by Dr. Smita Tolani, HoD, ES&H.

Parents shared encouraging feedback, appreciating the department’s efforts and suggesting measures to further enhance the teaching–learning process. Refreshments were arranged for parents at the end of the session, adding a pleasant conclusion to the event.

A total of 394 parents attended the interaction, reflecting an excellent turnout and strong parental involvement.

The PTI was coordinated by Dr. Ashish Bodhaye and Mrs. Sayali Kanhav, with support from dedicated student volunteers, under the guidance of Dr. Smita Tolani, HoD, ES&H. All Class Counselors contributed significantly to the smooth execution of the event, while student volunteers and non-teaching staff provided valuable assistance throughout.
