Session with Mr. Nilay Akre – “My Journey from Pallotti to the World”

On 13th October 2025, the Alumni Relations Cell organized a Felicitation and Interactive Session with Mr. Nilay Akre, a distinguished alumnus from the Batch of 2017, Mechanical Engineering, who is currently based in Germany.

Mr. Akre’s journey is a testament to excellence, innovation, and global leadership. After completing his M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Management from TU Chemnitz, Germany, he began his professional career as an R&D Project Manager at ICM e.V., Chemnitz. His remarkable career trajectory includes impactful roles at Sunfire GmbH, Dresden, where he managed multi-million-euro hydrogen technology projects, and now as a Technical Consultant at Leyton Germany, advising on innovation and industrial transformation across sectors.

During the session, titled “My Journey from Pallotti to the World,” Mr. Akre shared valuable insights into the evolving landscape of engineering, sustainability, and global opportunities. He appreciated the college’s culture of discipline and learning and encouraged students to stay adaptable in a rapidly changing world.

The event was made even more special by the presence of his wife, Ms. Puja Umate, an alumna from the Batch of 2017, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and their young son — marking a heartwarming reunion with the Tech Pallottine family.
