St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August 2025 at the Multifacility Centre to mark the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player. The event highlighted the importance of sports, fitness, and India’s rich sporting heritage.

The celebration commenced with a welcome address and the introduction of Chief Guest Shri Gurudas Raut, former captain of the Indian Divyang Cricket Team, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting and sapling presentation.

In his inspiring address, Shri Raut shared his remarkable journey, encouraging students to pursue their goals with resilience and determination. His message left a lasting impression on the audience. A memento was presented to him as a token of appreciation.

The excitement continued with spirited basketball and football matches between A Block and B Block, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students for their enthusiastic participation and support.
