Code-Decode

The Department of Computer Engineering, in collaboration with the ACM Student Chapter, successfully organized an engaging debugging competition titled Code-Decode on 18th August 2025 for 2nd Year Section A and 20th August 2025 for 2nd Year Section B. The event was conducted for 1 hour (3:15 PM – 4:15 PM) .

The primary objective of this competition was to enhance students’ problem-solving and debugging skills, promote logical thinking, and encourage teamwork through healthy competition. Participants were challenged to identify and correct errors in provided code snippets, making this event a real test of logic, accuracy, and speed.

Scoring was based on the number of hidden test cases passed, with each test case carrying 10 points. Rankings were determined by a combination of scores, fewer submissions, and quicker completion times, ensuring a fair and competitive atmosphere. The event received active participation from 65 students from each section, reflecting strong enthusiasm and coding interest.

The competition was organized under the guidance of Dr. Pallavi Wankhede, with coordination by Melrick Paul and Aditya Yelne (Section A), and Aditya Zade and Guradesh Dhillon (Section B), supported by the ACM Student Team. This initiative successfully promoted debugging proficiency, logical reasoning, and collaborative skills among students.
