Poster Making Competition on Canva
The Department of Computer Engineering, in collaboration with the ACM Student Chapter, successfully organized a Poster Making Competition on Canva on 25th July 2025. The competition was exclusively for 2nd Year Computer Engineering students from Section A and was conducted for 2 hours (2:15 PM – 4:00 PM).
The event provided a platform for students to demonstrate digital design skills, creativity, and visual communication using the online tool Canva. Participants were invited to create posters on themes such as Independence Day and technology-inspired concepts, allowing them to blend patriotic motifs with modern technological ideas. Throughout the session, students conceptualized, designed, and refined their posters, applying principles of layout, typography, color harmony, and imagery to produce visually appealing designs.
The event fostered healthy competition and peer learning, as students exchanged ideas, offered feedback, and explored Canva’s features for creative enhancement. The judging criteria focused on originality, relevance to the theme, aesthetic appeal, and effective use of the digital medium. This competition not only showcased the artistic talent of students but also highlighted the importance of visual literacy in technical education.
The competition was organized by Dr. Pallavi Wankhede, with coordination support from Sanved Kabade (4th Year CE) and the ACM Student Team, whose collective efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event. This initiative successfully promoted creativity, digital proficiency, and collaborative engagement among students, contributing to a vibrant campus culture of innovation and expression.
