Industrial Visit to RAYMOND Ltd., Sausar, Chhindwara, M.P.

The Department of Industrial IoT organized an industrial visit for third-year, fifth semester students to Raymond Ltd., Sausar, Chhindwara, on August 16, 2025. A total of 51 students, accompanied by two faculty members, Dr. Amol W. Pardhi and Prof. Rajeshwari G. Shinde, participated in the visit.

The objective was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial application by providing students with first-hand exposure to the practical implementation of Industrial IoT technologies in the textile sector. The visit offered insights into the manufacturing processes, automation systems, and quality control measures employed at the Raymond factory.

Students observed various automated processes and components relevant to the Industrial IoT domain, gaining valuable knowledge about advanced fabric manufacturing techniques and real-time data utilization in industrial operations. They also interacted with plant personnel and technical staff, learning how Industrial IoT enhances operational efficiency, safety, and productivity.

This interaction deepened their understanding of intelligent systems, sensor-based monitoring, and data-driven decision-making in modern industrial environments.

The visit proved to be a highly enriching experience, significantly enhancing students’ practical understanding of industrial practices and factory management. It also reinforced classroom learning by showcasing its real-world applications.

The industrial visit was successfully organized and coordinated by Dr. Amol W. Pardhi, with support from Prof. Rajeshwari G. Shinde from the Department of Industrial IoT. Special thanks to the management and staff of Raymond Ltd. for their warm hospitality and valuable support.
