A fire safety demonstration was organized at SVPCET on August 18, 2025, to promote awareness and preparedness among the campus community. The event focused on the proper use of fire extinguishers and basic fire response techniques.

The session began with an overview of various types of fire extinguishers, their specific applications, and associated color codes. This was followed by a hands-on demonstration using a controlled fire setup, where participants practiced the PASS technique—Pull the safety pin, Aim at the base of the fire, Squeeze the handle, and Sweep the nozzle from side to side.

In addition to extinguisher training, the demonstration covered emergency evacuation routes and designated assembly points on campus. The session was conducted by Mr. Kishore Bonde from Anjani Enterprises, who provided practical insights into fire safety protocols.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Sachin Nagmote, NSS Faculty Coordinator (EE), and Prof.Ashish Dhandekar, NSS Faculty Coordinator (CSEDS), with support from Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure, NSS Program Officer, and Mr. Sunil Waghmare, Store Incharge.
