Industrial Visit to Shivam Foods
The Department of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) organized an industrial visit to Shivam Foods, Umred Road, Nagpur, on August 2, 2025, for third-semester students. A total of 59 students participated, accompanied by faculty members Prof. Tushar Aneyrao and Prof. Rajeshwari Shinde.
The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial applications by exposing students to the practical implementation of IIoT technologies in the food processing sector. At Shivam Foods, students observed key real-time operations such as automation in packaging, sensor-based data monitoring, IoT system integration, and quality control processes.
Throughout the visit, students engaged with plant personnel and technical staff, gaining valuable insights into how IIoT enhances operational efficiency, safety, and productivity in manufacturing. The interaction helped them understand the role of intelligent systems and data-driven decision-making in modern industrial environments.
This industrial visit provided students with practical exposure to real-world applications of IIoT and reinforced their classroom learning by connecting theoretical concepts with industry practices. It served as an important step in preparing students for future roles in smart manufacturing and industrial automation.
