Induction Program for 3rd Semester Electrical Engineering Students
The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an Induction Program for third-semester students on 12th August 2025 to familiarize them with departmental practices, academic processes, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE). The program began with Dr. Mrs. J. P. Rothe, Head of the Department, addressing students on “Know Your Department”, highlighting the department’s history, infrastructure, and faculty strengths.
Dr. N. K. Dhote, Dean IQAC, explained the OBE framework and its relevance to skill development, employability, and NBA accreditation. Prof. M. B. Maurya briefed students on academic guidelines, attendance, and the feedback process, emphasizing their role in improving teaching-learning quality.
Prof. D. C. Khadse introduced the IEI Club, outlining how the Institution of Engineers (India) chapter connects students to industry, conferences, and networks. Dr. D. S. Wankhede spoke about NPTEL courses and encouraged participation in online certifications for advanced learning.
The final session, led by Prof. S. A. Sarmokadam, covered the student R&D policy and motivated students to pursue innovative projects. He also highlighted co-curricular activities and their role in building leadership and problem-solving skills.
The program effectively introduced students to academic, professional, and extracurricular opportunities, preparing them for active engagement in the department. The event was coordinated by Dr. P. S. Pisal and Prof. M. B. Maurya.
