The Department of Electrical Engineering organized an Autodesk Revit MEP Software Awareness Program for fifth-semester students on 12th August 2025. The session was conducted by Mr. Khsitij Nawghare, representative of Astral Informatics Pvt. Ltd., and aimed to introduce students to the capabilities, applications, and industry relevance of Revit MEP in the electrical engineering field.

Mr. Nawghare provided an overview of Building Information Modelling (BIM) concepts and demonstrated how Revit MEP facilitates the design, analysis, and documentation of building electrical systems. He explained how the software integrates electrical layouts with mechanical and plumbing systems on a unified platform, enhancing design accuracy and reducing project execution time.

He emphasized the importance of mastering Revit MEP for real-world applications such as smart building design, load calculations, lighting systems, cable routing, and panel scheduling. He also discussed the growing industry demand for professionals skilled in BIM-based tools across construction, infrastructure, and consultancy sectors in both domestic and international markets.

The session concluded with an overview of Astral Informatics' training and certification programs designed to equip students with practical, industry-relevant skills and enhance their employability.

The program was well-received by students and proved valuable in guiding them toward current industry tools and trends. The seminar was coordinated by Dr. N. K. Dhote, Dr. J. P. Rothe, and Prof. M. B. Maurya.
