A three-day Industrial training on machinery fault simulator called “Multi-Functional Rotor Experiment Bench”

A three-day Industrial training program was organized by the Mechanical Engineering Department on a machinery fault simulator called “Multi-Functional Rotor Experiment Bench” from 4th to 6th Feb. 2025 at Mechatronics Lab. The training was conducted by the experts from AIMIL Ltd., Mumbai. A total of 6 faculty members and 16 students attended the training. The contents of the training include basics of vibrations, fault simulation on the experimental test bench, analysis of vibration spectrum using VibRot software, determination of various patterns for different machine faults, analysis of the signal in a time domain and frequency domain using Fast Fourier Transform etc. The training is useful for the students in courses such as Mechanical Vibrations and their academic projects.

The department is thankful to the experts from AIMIL Ltd. Mr. Prasad Ghorpade, Assistant Business Manager-NVH, EV & EVSE Testing Solutions, Educational and Electrical Division and Mr. Rahul, Engineer, AIMIL Ltd.
