The Civil Engineering Department of St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur in association with Adani FutureX Programme & Indian Concrete Institute Students Chapter, organized an industrial visit to ACC Cement Plant, Chanda, Chandrapur, on 15 October 2026 for 63 students Second-Year B.Tech Civil Engineering students.

The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to cement manufacturing processes and industrial operations. Students gained valuable insights into various stages of cement production, including raw material handling, crushing, grinding, clinker production, and cement packaging.The visit provided an opportunity to observe modern machinery, automated systems, quality control procedures, and safety practices followed in the cement industry. Students also learned about the importance of quality assurance, environmental management, resource efficiency, and sustainable construction practices.

The interaction with industry professionals helped students understand the practical applications of concepts studied in the classroom. The visit effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practices, enhancing students’ understanding of construction materials and cement manufacturing technology.

The Civil Engineering Department sincerely thanks the Mr. Lokesh Shrimali, Plant Head, Mr. Anand Kulkarni West 2 - Cluster HR Head, Mr. Naresh, Mr. Mahendra and Mr. Badra the in charges of various section and technical staff of ACC Cement Plant, Chanda, for their valuable support and cooperation. Overall, the industrial visit was an informative and enriching experience that contributed significantly to the students’ technical knowledge and professional development.
