ElectroEdge 1.0: Sparking Innovation Through Practical Learning

St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology witnessed an exciting surge of innovation and technical enthusiasm with the successful conduction of ElectroEdge 1.0, a dynamic event on 10-11 April,2026 hosted by the Department of Electrical Engineering under the banner of IEEE Student Branch.

With the participation of 37 students from the 2nd and 4th semester EE, ElectroEdge 1.0 turned into a vibrant hub of learning, competition, and collaboration. The competition unfolded across three thoughtfully designed rounds, each testing a different dimension of technical expertise. The first round, a technical quiz, challenged participants on their understanding of fundamental electrical concepts. This was followed by the circuit-building round, where students translated theory into practice by constructing circuits within a limited time. The final round pushed participants further, requiring them to detect and explain faults in given circuits—an exercise that demanded both analytical thinking and precision.

Designed to move beyond textbooks and classrooms, the event aimed to provide students with a platform to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. Behind the success of the event was a dedicated team of organizers.

Student coordinators Ms. Toshnavi Gadhave and Mr. Samuel Tayde played a key role in planning and execution, while the guidance of faculty coordinator Prof. Shradha Banode ensured that the event maintained both academic rigor and smooth organization.
