AICTE Sponsored ATAL FDP on “Hydrogen Energy Pathway to a Sustainable Future” from 7th to 12th September 2026.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology (SVPCET), Nagpur, organized an AICTE-sponsored One-Week Offline ATAL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Hydrogen Energy: Pathway to a Sustainable Future” from 7th to 12th September 2026.
The FDP provided participants with insights into hydrogen production, fuel cells, hydrogen-based energy systems, hydrogen-fuelled engines, hybrid systems, bio-hydrogen, safety, policies and industrial applications.
The programme featured distinguished experts including Dr. Prakash Chandra Ghosh (IIT Bombay), Dr. Nikhil A. Bhave (DIAT-DU-DRDO), Dr. Smita A. Acharya (RTM Nagpur University), Dr. Ashwin Dhoble (VNIT Nagpur), Mr. Aatmesh Jain (ARAI Pune), Mr. Vivek Shastrakar (Inventys Research Company), Dr. Nitant Mate (HyZero Energy Ecosystems), Dr. G. K. Awari (Government Polytechnic Nagpur), Dr. Purnanand Bhale (SVNIT Surat) and Mr. Sameer Bendre (HyZero Energy Ecosystems).
The programme included expert lectures, article discussions, hands-on laboratory sessions, an industrial visit to Inventys Research Company, and participant assessments.
Dr. Prashant Maheshwary, Principal, SVPCET, graced the inaugural programme, while Dr. Sushant Satputaley, Coordinator, ATAL FDP, and the faculty members of the mechanical engineering department coordinated the programme.
The FDP concluded with participants gaining multidisciplinary exposure to emerging hydrogen technologies and their research and industrial applications.
