Extempore Competition for B.Tech First-Year Students
The Department of Engineering, Sciences & Humanities organized an Extempore Competition for B.Tech first-year students on 5th May, 2026. The event was organized with an objective to enhance students’ communication skills, confidence, and spontaneity.
Participants were given topics on the spot and were required to speak for two minutes. They were evaluated based on content, clarity, and confidence and time management.
The event was anchored by Akshita Singh, a student of CSE Section A, and the judges were Dr. Shakuntala Yadav and Prof. Aishwarya Verma. The event was coordinated by Prof. Mamta Chhabriya.
A total of 27 students participated in the competition and the following students were declared as winners; Mandar Ambagade (CSBS), who secured the First Prize for speaking on Robots, Darsheel Kamble (CSE), who won the Second Prize for his talk on Responsibilities, and Sarah Carlo, who secured the Third Prize for her talk on Social Media.
The competition was well-received and provided a valuable platform for students to express their ideas effectively and confidently.
