MathWorks Workshop on Signal Processing
The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, under its student R&D Cell ‘Spectrum’, organized a technical online workshop titled “Technical Workshop on Signal Processing using MATLAB” on 21st April 2026, Tuesday from 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM.
The session was conducted by Mr. Ankit Kumar from MathWorks, who shared valuable insights into both the theoretical and practical aspects of signal processing. The workshop covered key topics including understanding signal processing using Simulink, modelling single-channel and multi-channel discrete dynamic systems, implementing sample-based and frame-based processing, and automating modelling tasks using the Signal Analyzer App.
A hands-on case study on detecting sunny versus cloudy conditions using signal processing with Simulink further enhanced the learning experience, followed by an interactive Q&A session. The workshop proved to be highly informative and beneficial for students, offering a balanced blend of theory and practical exposure. The demonstrations and case study significantly aided in strengthening conceptual understanding.
A total of 54 students attended the workshop, which successfully contributed to enhancing their knowledge and skills in signal processing and simulation tools.
