Industrial Visit to Adani Power Plant, Tirora, Dist. Gondia

The Department of Industrial IoT organized an industrial visit for third-year, sixth-semester students to Adani Power Plant, Tirora, Dist. Gondia, on 28 February 2026. A total of 48 students participated, accompanied by Dr. Amol W. Pardhi and Prof. Tushar Aneyrao.

The visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial application by providing first-hand exposure to Industrial IoT technologies in the power sector. Students gained insights into the working principles of a thermal power plant, including large-scale power generation, automation systems, and industrial safety practices.

The visit focused on understanding industrial automation in thermal power plants, covering key components such as boiler systems, turbines, generators, and cooling systems. Students also learned about equipment layout, operational procedures, and the integration of sensor technologies in monitoring and control processes. The interaction enhanced their understanding of intelligent systems, real-time monitoring, and data-driven decision-making in industrial environments.

Overall, the visit was highly enriching, strengthening students’ practical knowledge of industrial operations and reinforcing classroom concepts through real-world applications.

The visit was successfully organized and coordinated by Dr. Amol W. Pardhi, with support from Prof. Tushar Aneyrao. The department extends its gratitude to the management and staff of Adani Power Plant for their hospitality and support.
