The Department of Industrial Internet of Things, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur, organized a guest lecture for 6th Semester students on Friday, 13 February 2026. The session was delivered by Dr. Mayuri A. Digalwar from the CSE Department, IIIT Nagpur, on the topic “Towards Accelerating Industrial Applications using IIoT and GPU Computing.”

The speaker explained how the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) enables real-time data collection from industrial systems and how GPU computing accelerates large-scale data processing. She highlighted the importance of parallel computing, artificial intelligence, and CUDA programming in enhancing computational efficiency and enabling faster decision-making in industrial applications.

The session was informative and engaging, significantly enhancing students’ understanding of emerging technologies in the IIoT domain and their practical applications in modern industry.
