Guest Lecture on “Secure Product Development for Embedded Systems”

The Department of Industrial IoT organized an insightful guest lecture on “Secure Product Development for Embedded Systems” on 9 March 2026, held from 2:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Seminar Hall, B Block (2nd Floor), for fourth-semester students. The session was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, with a focus on embedded system security. A total of 63 students attended the lecture.

The session featured Mr. Chetan Kale, Engineering Manager, R&D Leader, and Embedded IoT Specialist at Tektronix India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, who brings extensive expertise in Embedded Systems and IoT. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. M. Shriraghavan, Head of the Department, who greeted the guest virtually.

Mr. Kale delivered an engaging and informative session, highlighting best practices in designing and developing secure embedded products such as IoT devices, microcontroller-based systems, and smart devices. He emphasized the importance of integrating robust security measures to safeguard systems against hacking, data breaches, and cyber threats.

Students greatly appreciated the session for its practical insights, real-world applications, and interactive Q&A segment. The lecture sparked keen interest among participants, encouraging them to further explore secure product development in embedded systems.

The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Rajeshwari Shinde and concluded with a vote of thanks. Overall, the lecture proved to be both informative and inspiring, reinforcing the department’s commitment to delivering industry-relevant knowledge and fostering innovation.
