Sthaapatya - Association of Civil Engineering Students, Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) Students’ Chapter of the Civil Engineering Department at St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur, in collaboration with L & T EduTech, organized an expert session on “Uncover the Skills in demand in INDIA`s growing Infrastructure Industries" on April 08, 2024. The expert for the session was Dr. Raana Pathak, Subject Matter Expert, L & T EduTech.

The expert emphasized on the critical role of technology in modern infrastructure projects. She highlighted the need for professionals who are skilled in emerging technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and data analytics. Proficiency in these areas enables efficient project management, cost optimization, and improved decision-making processes. Another focal point of the session was the growing emphasis on sustainability and environmental considerations in infrastructure development. Skills related to green building practices, renewable energy systems, and environmental impact assessment were identified as crucial for industry professionals.

Effective project management and collaboration skills were highlighted as fundamental for success in the infrastructure sector.
