Expert Session on "Automotive Design: Industry Practices and Applications"

The Design Club and Career Guidance Cell of the Mechanical Engineering department organized an Expert Session on "Automotive Design: Industry Practices and Applications" on February 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Mr. Anubhav Singh, an Application Engineer from the Institute of Industrial Design, Chennai, delivered the session. The expert session targeted 4th and 6th-semester students of the Mechanical Engineering department, with approximately 45 students in attendance.

The main objective of this session was to raise awareness among students about the latest practices followed in the Automotive Industry and the job profile requirements of such industry. The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Ghansyam Boob, followed by an introduction of the speaker. Mr. Anubhav Singh provided brief information about his company and the work they do. He then delved into a deep insight into automotive design and its various domains. The main focus area of the session was BIW design, where the expert mentioned that this area requires a lot of skilled manpower and can be considered as a career option. Finally, the expert shared details of the training offered by their company and further placement options after training.

The expert lecture was coordinated by Dr. Ghanshyam Boob, Incharge of the Career Guidance Cell.
