St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology’s collegiate motorsport team ‘Ashwa Riders – Go Karting’, competed with their creation Mirage 2.0 in the INDIAN KART RACING (IKR) CHAMPIONSHIP 2018, organised by ISIE INDIA in accordance with the Federation of Motor sports club of India (FMSCI) at The Buddh International Circuit, Noida. This team was declared National Champions, securing first position and also bagged the Best Acceleration and Best Endurance award.
The team hailing from Nagpur, Maharashtra participated in the 4 day event witnessed participation of 50 teams from different colleges, all over India. The team cleared the strict Technical and Safety Inspection conducted by FMSCI technical inspectors.
The drivers of the team Samprit Shamkuwar & Anmol Durugkar showcased their fabulous driving skills. The endurance race comprised of 30 laps which extensively checked the drivers abilities and build quality of the vehicle. The race was flagged off by the Chief Guest Mira Erda, Formula Racer representing India along with officials of the FMSCI.
The team bagged the ‘Best Acceleration’ and ‘Best Endurance’ award, two cheques worth rupees 10,000 each. As winners they lifted the ‘Champions Trophy’ and a cheque of rupees One lakh, presented by Mr Vinod Gupta, Chairman Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE).
