“Celebrate what you have accomplished but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed”, quoted Father Varghese Pullan, Chairman of the Nagpur Tech Pallottine Society and Provincial Rector of the Prabhu Prakash Province. With his inspirational words, he welcomed all the members of the tech pallottine family for a formal dinner on the success of the Departments of Electrical and Computer Science Engineering of St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology for being accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.
He also felicitated the PG toppers Mr. Abhranil Banerjee and Mrs. Harshala Shingne, who had secured top positions in the RTMNU and currently are associated with the mechanical and IT departments respectively as assistant professors.
Dr. Pramod Lanjewar was felicitated from the department of Mechanical Engineering brought laurels to the college for being awarded with the Doctrate of Philosophy by RTMNU.
Dr. Mrs. Jyoti Rothe, Head, Electrical Engineering, Dr. P. S. Nerkar and Dr. Werulkar were felicitated for being elected as members in Board of studies in departments of electrical, metallurgy and electronics and telecommunication respectively.
Father Varghese made a special reference to the Heads of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering Dr. Jyoti Rothe and Dr. Vivek Kute for bringing laurels to the college by getting accreditation from NBA and thanked them for their team efforts and hard work to achieve this goal.
He congratulated the departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication for their efforts they had put into for getting the accreditation but couldn’t achieve it. He suggested to stay focussed and determined and keep on practicing the intentions that are set to achieve the goal. He mentioned that it’s a matter of luck that their hard work was not recognised as it was planned.
He also thanked all the members of Department of Information Technology for their support through the entire process and their head Mr. Manoj Bramhe to lead his team in such a planned manner to help the other departments.
Father George proposed the vote of thanks and thanked to all the departments for their contribution in this success. He made a special reference to the department of Humanities and Basic Sciences headed by Mrs. Sucheta Moharir for their actions which took the hard-work towards achievement. He also thanked the admin department headed by Prof. Borikar for their tremendous support for documentation which is a part and parcel of our work culture. He thanked the entire financial department which is headed by Father Siju and controlled extremely well as it plays a vital role in our college administration. He also thanked the T&P department headed by Mr. Ashish Lawrence for their support and guidance throughout the process.
Last but not the least a prayer service was held and the dinner was graced by father George.
The event was anchored by Prof. Ramanuj Chakravarthy and the prayer song was sung by Prof. Binu Joy.
