Short Term Training Program on Internet of Things (IoT)

St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology, Nagpur conducted a three day Short Term Training Program on ‘Internet of Things (IoT)’ from 7th to 9th July, 2017. The STTP was organized in association with Experts Hub-Industry Skill Development Centre, Chennai to enhance the skills of Faculty Members, Post Graduate Students, PhD Scholars and Industry Professionals. The workshop sessions were designed to enlighten participants on the latest development and trends in the field of Internet of Things (IoT).

The dignitaries present at this program were- the chief guest Dr. O. G . Kakde, Dept. of CSE, VNIT; Mr. M. Murali, Experts Hub Industry Skill Development Centre, Chennai;  Mr. Prasad Raspaile, Oberoi Robotics Centre of Excellence, Nagpur; Fr. George Madeikkal, Director of SVPCET; Fr. Anto Mullanal, Asstt. Director; Dr. V. V. Sohoni, Principal; Prof. R. B. Gowardhan, Vice-Principal; SVPCET and Dr. S. S. Limaye, Convener, STTP.

The first day’s session was lead by Mr. M. Murali on Fundamentals of IoT, followed by sessions on Architecture of IoT Applications and Online Cloud Resources.

Mr. Murali, on the second day facilitated the session on Industrial IoT, Special User Interfaces on IoT and Cloud Internet resources such as IFTTT and particle.

On the last day practical sessions were conducted by Mr. Prasad Raspaile on Node MCU Board containing ESP-8266 controller, Wifi Communication, Cloud Storage & PC Interfacing with Sensors etc. were also covered.

The STTP got a good response from the participants, concluding with the valedictory function and certificate distribution. The organizing team also thanked the College Management, Principal & Vice Principal for their guidance and support.
