Keeping the objective of educating young mindsets and creating effective professionals, the department was established In 2005. For departmental development it is very important to have well defined and task oriented program. With the help of best of the infrastructure and the proper action plan, we are committed to train, educate and inculcate the qualities of cooperation, team work and competitive spirit in the budding engineers to help them become leaders in their profession. We at department of Comp. Engg/ Info Tech. at St. Vincent Pa!loth college of Engg and Technology put emphasis on the overall development of students and faculty members. Teaching is the process of transmitting knowledge whereas research is the process of discovering new knowledge. The Department aims at imparting knowledge to students as well as guiding them for research work which is important to set a benchmari In the IT industry today. Students are motivated for learning beyond syllabus by providing guidance In advance areas such as Ad-Hoc Network, Network Security, Mobile computing, Data warehousing and Mining etc. The department is instrumental in conducting various technica I and non technical activities for students and faculty members. Regular workshops and expert lectures of industry professional on the latest topics like Linux OS, Oracle, and Business Intelligence etc. are organized. Faculty members are encouraged to acquire higher education. We aim not only at producing good professionals but also good and worthy citizens of the country.
