On 7th Jan’2012, the Department of CE-IT of SVPCET inaugurated Computer Society of India (CSI) students chapter. The objective of this chapter is to organize weekly technical events like- PC setting & LAN installation, virtual Campus,technical films, LINUX workshop, etc.
The Computer Society of India is a non-Profit professional meet to exchange views, information and share ideas. CSI is formed 1965 and it has been an instrument in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, CSI has 69 chapters all over India, 358 student branches and more than 70000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.
The guest for the event was Mr. Swapnil Dehmukh (Project Manager at Infocepts Technology Pvt. Ltd.). While addressing the students he referred to the need to have knowledge of the latest technologies used in the IT Industry. Also he urged the faculties of CSI team to encourage students to explore and the open source tools available on net which could proove useful to the IT Indsutries. He was accompanied by the two ex-students of SVPCET CE department Ms. Anushree Muzumdar and Ms. Shikha Gulwani who are working an a Software Engineer at Infocepts Technology Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. M.V. Bramhe (Co-ordinator CSI Students chapter SVPCET) elaborates on the motive and the future events of CSI in the session 2011-2012.The inauguration of the CSI wall magazine is done by Fr. George, Gr. Manoj, Fr. Johnson , Mr. V. B. Kute (HOD of CE- IT Dept.) Mr. M.V. Bramhe (Co-ordinator CSI Students chapter) and the Wall magazine designers.
The Inauguration ceremony was organized by Mr. M.V. Bramhe, Ms. M. Khedkar. The event was hosted by Sneha Khatwani and Vinay Koyadwar.
VIRTUAL CAMPUS- I
On 4th Feb ’2012, the Department of CE-IT of SVPCET organized an even of Virtual Campus under Computer Society of India (CSI) student branch. The objective of this event was to give an exposure to CSI students towards Campus Recruitment training. The event started with the 45 minutes Campus Recruitment Test which was of 45 questions based on common aptitude and Technical questions.
