St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering & Technology has organised an Expert lecture on Summer Study Programs for Students of 7th Semester (Computer Engg., Information Technology and Electronics and Telecommunication Engg.). Resource persons for the session included Dr. Franck Trocki, Harrisburg University, USA and Dr. Kimberly Rieken, Ottawa University.
Dr. Trocki, who retired as chancellor of Montana State University Northern, Currently is a Senior Partner in Uplink Education, LLC which provides visioning, strategic planning and productivity, financial growth, and defining innovative opportunities that allows industry and business to support collaboration and linkage with higher education. He works collegially with executive staffs of universities, business, and industries on a world-wide basis. Dr. Kimberly Rieken, Assistant Director of International Program, Ottawa University, is assistant to the University Provost.
Dr. Trocki started his talk with giving the brief introduction about Harrisburg University. He discussed various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs available in Harrisburg University. He also discussed the procedures required to be followed in order to graduate from Harrisburg University. Dr. Kimberly Rieken, spoke on opportunities of students in Ottawa University for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The experts also had an interaction with faculty members and discussed about recent emerging fields of engineering related to research.
At the end of the lecture a Q&A session was equally interesting, in which students participated whole heartedly. They were very much impressed by the questions put forward by the students. Over all, the faculty members, student participants and the speakers themselves enjoyed the session thoroughly.
The entire lecture was very enlightening and triumphant, because it has ignited spark and hope of contributing towards the field of engineering and science in every student. We are very thankful to Dr. Franck and Dr. Kim for spending their valuable time with us and sharing with us abundant knowledge.
