Industrial Visit to Global Logic, Nagpur

The Training and Placement Department (T&P) of the college organized an industrial visit to Global Logic Private Ltd, for the 6th sem students of the Information Technology Department, on 1st Dec 2017. Fifteen students in all were selected for the visit .

At Global Logic, Senior Manager Mr. Ashish Panpaliya took a session on ‘Software and Automation Techniques’, enlightening them on various digital transformation principles, AGILE software process model, top-tier brand, UX designers and methodologies being applied at Global Logic. He stated that every software development group tests its products, yet the delivered software always has defects. Test engineers strive to detect them before the product is released but they always creep in, often reappearing even with the best manual testing processes. Test Automation software is the best way to increase effectiveness, efficiency and coverage of software testing. Automated software and IOT has long been considered critical for big software development organizations, but is often thought to be too expensive or difficult for smaller companies to implement.

The speaker further emphasized that Global Logic helps business create value across the entire product lifecycle not just by developing cutting-edge apps but also by making mature products relevant to digitally savy consumers. This has emerged as one of the key areas where students can build their career in the industry. The session came to an end with Mr. Ashish throwing light on the current IT trends, placement, mantras for success and answered a number of queries posed by the students.
