Notice for Students Under Absorption Scheme

Students who had appeared University Examinations Under “ABSORPTION SCHEME” and their result of respective semesters are kept withhold by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Nagpur, are hereby informed to submit all their earlier semester/s marksheet photocopies in administration department so that their result status can be got updated from university, failing which they will not be able to appear for next respective semester supplementary examination.

Documents required

  1. S.C. (Std. X) mark sheet.
  2. S.C. (Std. XII) mark sheet.
  3. MHT-CET / JEE Mains (Paper 1) score card 2018.
  4. School leaving certificate after passing H.S.C. (Std. XII).
  5. Certificate of the Domicile of Maharashtra state / Birth certificate mentioning Maharashtra state as the birth place or school leaving certificate mentioning Maharashtra state as place of birth (Only for Maharashtra State Candidates).
  6. Indian Nationality (for all candidates, if it is not mentioned in the School leaving certificate). In lieu of the “Certificate of Indian Nationality” any one of the following certificate will also be acceptable-
  7. The School leaving Certificate indicating the Nationality of the candidate as ‘Indian’.
  8. Indian Passport in the name of the candidate, issued by appropriate authorities.
  9. Birth Certificate of the Candidate indicating the place of birth in India.
  10. Caste Certificate, Caste Validity and Non-Creamy Layer (Valid Up to 31 March 2019) (if applicable) for backward classes of Maharashtra state candidates.
  11. Migration Certificate (for other than Maharashtra State Board)
  12. Eligibility certificate from RTM Nagpur University (Other than Maharashtra State Board)
  13. Baptism certificate (only for Minority Christian Students)

NOTE:

  1. All the original documents are to be submitted at the time of admission.
  2. The candidates taking admission are required to preserve photocopies of the documents submitted at the time of admissions with them for further use.

Eligibility Criteria

(A) First Year Engineering and Technology :-

 

(A) First Year.

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or  Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

Or

(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);

Or

(ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC. and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;

 

  • All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates.

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and Obtained score in JEE Main Paper I or in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

Or

(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology  and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);

Or

(ii)Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;

 

(3) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National.(i) The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subjects taken together; (ii) Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority from time to time.

Achievers at Euphoria

Students of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Department, once again proved that they are constantly thriving to take up challenges and give their best.

Mr. Shiju Varghese, Mr.Sushrut Shetty, Mr.Prasanna Bhujade and Mr.Shubham  from the 8th Semester participated in the Technical Paper presentation Euphoria held at Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur, under the event Jigyasa 2017. The event was organized on 11th March 2017, our students secured the second position, making the Department and College proud.

Industrial Visit at RRSC (ISRO unit)

An Industrial visit was organized to the Regional Remote Sensing Centre (RRSC) of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Nagpur by the ETC Dept., for the 8th semester students on 16th March 2017. Around 100 students and 5 faculty members partook in this Industrial Visit. The motive was to educate students about the ongoing government efforts to transform India into a digitally empowered society.

The visit commenced with a theory class on information about Satellite Communication, different ISRO satellites and their activities of remote sensing, followed by demonstration of the BHUVAN software. Models of the First Indian Satellite ‘ARYABHATT’, PSLV, GSLV, and a video about Gateway to space was shown to the students.

The overall experience was enthralling, enabling students to appreciate the complex working and tireless efforts of our scientists. The inspiration derived was worth the time and energy spent. This visit also displayed the quality of Image Processing in the area of Remote Sensing and the scope of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in this field.isro171 isro17

Gearing up for Industry…

The  I-CONNECT-connecting industries and institutes for superior tomorrow was a part of the departmental event INFOTSAV of IT whose  main objective was to give the insight of IT industry to students,where the industry experts Dr.S.V.Kameswar Rao,Mr.Manish Sanghvi,Mr.Mahesh Rakheja,Mr.Mangesh Mohatkar,Mr.Avinash Sardar  interacted with the participants and shared their knowledge about how they can gear up for the industry. DR.Rao shared with us his experience and working of ISRO.Then Mr Manish Sanghvi told us about highlights and challenges of R&D.

The importance of internship and work experience was given to us by Mr. Mahesh Rakheja.Then with his valuable inputs Mr Mohatkar and Mr Sardar gave us a pr-requisite of what the industry is ,and the guidelines required for successful career in IT.

After the beneficial inputs given by industry experts Q n A session was held. Here the students were curious to know more about the industrial working,various internship programs provided by them. The students also showed enthusiasm to know more about the latest technologies and products being used in their companies.

The session was very interactive and was beneficial for all.

‘Digi-Rivista’ – Monthly Digital Magazine

‘Digi-Rivista’, a monthly digital magazine of the IT Department and an initiative by students and faculty members was launched on 4th March 2017.

Digi-Rivista would give students, alumni & faculty members the opportunity to showcase their talent and share information on a digital platform. It’s also much in line with the Mission statement of the Department.

The digital magazine has different sections such as- Management desk, HOD desk, students’ corner, faculty corner, achievements, e-books, hall of fame and much more. It supports both online content management and static pages. The Management desk has a video of the Director and Principal of the College. The book and syllabus section contains matter that can be downloaded by students.

This magazine is hosted on the Department webpage under College website. It can also be viewed on any mobile device.

Industrial Visit of Sixth Sem EE Students

As a part of their University Curriculum, the students of sixth semester Electrical Engineering visited three industries, namely 220 KV Butibori Substation, Nagpur, Suzlon Wind Energy Ltd. and WinWind Energy Moutha Chikhaldara from the 3rd to 5th March 2017.

During their visit to Butibori Substation the students were divided into small groups for better co-ordination and explanation of the different parts and working of the substation. Thereafter, the Site Engineer interacted with students, highlighting the scope of Electrical Engineering.

Their next visit was to Suzlon Wind Energy and WinWind Energy, students were briefed about the generation of energy through wind. Though both the companies generate the energy through wind, there is difference in the construction and technology used.

This visit enabled students to integrate their theoretical knowledge with practical application.The students gratefully acknowledge the Engineers from these companies for generously taking out time from their hectic schedule and sharing valuable information.
