An expert lecture on ‘VEDIC MATHEMATICS’

Mr Manmath Deshpande, owner of Aptitude Development Centre, from Nagpur region was invited to take an expert lecture on ‘VEDIC MATHEMATICS’, for the 3rd & 5th Sem Electrical Engg. students’, on 30th July, 2016. It was organized under the Students’ Chapter, IEI, of SVPCET, Nagpur.

Mr. Deshpande, has completed his BE in Computer Science and MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj, Mumbai and is an expert in training students in Mathematics, Reasoning, Communication, etc. He began by giving a brief introduction on Vedic Mathematics along with some examples and also covered basics of multiplication of two and three digit numbers.

In the two hour session, he motivated and guided students’ regarding their higher education. He was given a memento as a token of appreciation by IEI Faculty coordinator Prof. Gaurav Gadge. The students’ appreciated the initiative taken by the Dept. in organizing the lecture. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Huma Sheikh and Prof. Dushyant Khadse coordinated in organizing the session.

 

Budding Talents of Pallotti

The First year batch, within first week of their arrival at Pallotti, proactively participated in the two hour “Potray your Scientist” activity organized by Applied Physics Faculty of Basic Sciences and Humanities Department. The Young Tech Pallottines made posters on their favorite Physicists. The activity was organized on 04 August 2016 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Seminar Hall, Block B.  The objective of the activity was to make the new entrants interact with their fellow classmates and also to engage them in a creative and constructive utilization of the resources. Nearly 200 Students participated in this activity in groups.  Posters on various Physicists and Scientists were articulately designed by our budding talents. The Posters on eminent Scientists like Sir C. V Raman, Stephen Hawkings, APJ Abdul Kalam, Albert Einstein, Madam Currie, Thomas Edison and many more were made. Students were also shown videos on Physics at the conclusion of poster making. The session acted as an ice breaker and also displayed the originality in their talent and vigor of PALLOTTI FIRST.
